Party At Airbnb Leads To Homicide

BRANDON, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the shooting death of a man in Brandon around midnight Saturday.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office received multiple 911 calls July 13 about a shooting at a home on Red Fox Lane off Williams Road in Brandon.

A man was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives believe the home was being rented as an Airbnb. There was a party at the home when detectives say an unidentified man got into an argument with the victim and, at some point, shots were fired. The shooter left the scene.

The sheriff's office is currently conducting interviews with witnesses and working to locate the shooter.
