Sheriff Investigates Fatal Stabbing Of 21-Year-Old Man

TAMPA, FL -- Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man off Old Hillsborough Avenue and Williams Road in Tampa.

Around 7:25 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, the victim, a 21-year-old man, showed up at a home in the 10000 block of Old Highway Avenue where detectives believe his ex-girlfriend was living with her current boyfriend.

The victim hopped the fence and became embroiled in a physical fight with the homeowner during which he was fatally stabbed in the upper body. The homeowner received minor injuries.

The homeowner is not facing charges at this time.

The sheriff's office hasn't released the identities of any of the people involved.
