Sheriff's Office Looking For a Few Good Women

Hillsborough County is hosting an open house meant to help women explore opportunities in law enforcement.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is hiring and it wants to make sure female candidates know about it.

That’s why the agency, one of Florida’s largest, is playing host to a job fair this weekend. The first-ever Women In Law Enforcement event is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Falkenburg Road Jail’s assembly room, 2306 N. Falkenburg Road, in Tampa.

During the job fair, women who are interested in protecting, serving and putting bad guys – and gals – behind bars can find out more about the positions the sheriff’s office has open while learning more about the agency’s hiring process.
