Gibsonton Suspect Arrested In AL On Attempted Murder Charge

A suspect who shot a victim in Gibsonton Sunday morning faces attempted second degree murder charge. He was captured in Greensboro, Alabama.

GIBSONTON, FL — Update: Angel Hernandez-Teller was arrested on charges of attempted second degree murder with a firearm in Greensboro, Alabama, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said. The Hale County Sheriff's Office took him into custody.

A 29-year-old man is wanted who is accused by deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office for shooting a man Sunday morning in Gibsonton.

The shooting occurred just before 3:39 a.m. in the 10000 block of Lula Street, according to detectives. Witnesses told authorities that Angel Herndandez-Tellez and another man got into a fight. The suspect ended up shooting the victim once, deputies said. The victim was not involved in the initial fight.

Authorities said the victim was last listed in critical condition at a local hospital.

"Time is of the essence, and I'm pleading with anyone who has seen or heard from this suspect to please contact us immediately," Sheriff Chad Chronister. "He is facing a charge of second degree murder for his senseless actions. We do believe this was an isolated incident at this time."
