Single-Car Accident Kills Driver On Falkenburg Road

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL -- A 30-year-old Lakeland woman has died after crashing head on into a barrier wall early Friday morning.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Vivian Keith Gray of Lakeland was driving her Volkswagen Jetta north on Falkenburg Road west of Mango at 2:18 a.m. when she failed to notice that Falkenburg Road ended and crashed into a barrier wall separating the road from Interstate 4.

Gray died at the scene. A passenger was taken to Tampa General Hospital in stable condition.
