Song Calls Out Florida Attorney General on Gay Marriage
A musical duo has put its objections to Pam Bondi's stance on same-sex marriages to song.

South Florida’s Wolfcat has a question for Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The husband-and-wife musical team has recorded a track that asks: “Pam Bondi, is there any love in your heart?”
The song, titled “Pam Bondi (Is There Any Love in Your Heart)“ is available on the duo’s Sound Cloud page. It was written and recorded in response to Bondi’s decision to fight the rulings of several Florida judges who say the state’s constitutional amendment banning gay marriage is illegal.

“We were literally sitting in the bar celebrating when someone looked at their phone and saw that Pam Bondi ordered a stay,” Wolfcat’s Aaron Gentry told the Broward Palm Beach New Times.
Bondi, who hails from Hillsborough County, has been divorced twice. The songwriters point that out, saying, “All the people that I know, they want to feel the same thing too. None of them ever needed permission from you.”

Three separate Florida judges have ruled the state’s ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional. Same-sex marriages, however, remain unavailable in the state as the issue is elevated to the federal court system.
Wolfcat isn’t the first Florida band to write a song about an attorney general. New Times pointed out that rapper Anquette recorded the song “Janet Reno” back in 1988 to thank her for her enforcement of child support laws.
