Stormy Labor Day Weekend Likely
Scattered thunderstorms are on the agenda for Tampa Bay as the holiday weekend kicks off.

Tampa Bay area residents hoping to enjoy some outdoor time over the long Labor Day weekend might want to bring an umbrella along just in case.
The National Weather Service is predicting a strong chance of scattered thunderstorms throughout much of the weekend. The highest chance for storms comes as the weekend kicks off, set at 60 percent, through the overnight hours Friday.
Storm chances lower going into Saturday, but not by much. Forecasters are calling for a 40 percent chance for scattered thunderstorms throughout the day and 30 percent in the nighttime hours. Rain chances drop to 30 percent Sunday, but rise again to 40 percent on Labor Day.
