SWAT Team Takes Barricaded Felon Into Custody In Seffner
A SWAT situation has ended peaceful with the arrest of a man barricaded in a camper off Williams Road in Seffner.

SEFFNER, FL -- A SWAT situation has ended with the arrest of a man barricaded in a camper off Williams Road in Seffner.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to the Wigwam RV Park,
9201 Williams Road, around 6:30 p.m. on Friday after receiving a tip that a wanted felon was in the vicinity.
William Swint, 27, who had active felony burglary warrants, was found hiding inside a small camper in the trailer park. Swint barricaded himself in the camper after deputies made contact, and refused to surrender.

SWAT negotiators worked with Swint for nearly two hours to convince him to surrender but Swint refused to come out.
Finally, SWAT team members threw a tear gas canister into the camper but Swint climbed onto the roof of the trailer. Deputies then used a less lethal weapon and were able to seize and handcuff Swint.

Swint was checked out at Tampa General Hospital before being transported to jail.
