Tampa Bay Area native Joe Whall will be directing his debut science fiction short film Syntax which will be filmed and produced using local crew and talent. The film currently has an Indiegogo campaign allowing contributors to be a part of the moviemaking process by offering rewards, perks and some one-of-a-kind items. Joe Whall's art has been sold at local boutiques such as The Artful Giraffe located in St. Petersburg Florida. 

Filming has been slated to begin late February and will feature a number of local area venues and homes. The cast and crew will be available for a meet and greet at  Electric Zoo Studios located in St. Petersburg at 1741 1st Ave. North on the 18th of January 2014. They invite everyone to come meet the cast and crew at the studio from 8pm to 11pm.
