Tampa Man Died After Crashing Into Parked Tow Truck On I-4

MANGO, FL — A 51-year-old Tampa man has died following a fiery crash Thursday on westbound Interstate 4 east of Mango Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 12:20 a.m., a man driving a Pontiac G5 was traveling west on I-4 when he collided with a tow truck that was parked on the shoulder of the highway.

The Pontiac burst into flames and the driver died at the scene.

His identity is pending notification of next of kin.
