Tax Collector Closing East Hillsborough Office Temporarily
The shutdown of the East Hillsborough Tax Collector's Office is temporary to make way for new construction.

TAMPA, FL — Hillsborough County motorists who need to take their driving tests will have to report to a new location starting March 1.
The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office has announced its East Hillsborough office, 2814 E. Hillsborough Ave., is shutting down on Feb. 26. The office, which shares a building with the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles’ Bureau of Administrative Review, is closing to make way for the construction of a larger, more customer-friendly facility, the county announced.
The new office won’t open until sometime in the fall. In the meantime, the Drew Park office will handle driver’s license road tests starting March 1. That office is located at 4100 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
