TECO Contractor Dead Following Power Line Accident
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in the Brandon area closed for a time after the incident.
An accident involving a TECO subcontractor Wednesday morning forced the closing of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in the Brandon area.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Kingsway Road South. Deputies say the man was about 30 feet in the air in a bucket truck working with a saw. The man accidentally touched a live wire and suffered a shock.
Deputies say the man was transported to Brandon Hospital, where he later died.
