Thonotosassa Woman Arrested When Child Jumps From Moving Cadillac
A 31-year-old Thonotosassa woman has been charged with child neglect after a 12-year-old girl jumped out of her moving car.

THONOTOSASSA, FL -- A 31-year-old Thonotosassa woman has been charged with child neglect after a 12-year-old girl jumped out of her moving car.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to Franklin Road and U.S. 301 in Thonotosassa at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, after onlookers reported that a child jumped from the front passenger seat of a Cadillac that drove away, leaving the child behind.
Upon arrival, deputies found the 12-year-old girl who was treated on the scene by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. Deputies located the Cadillac about an hour later near 10905 Brigann Yard Way in Thonotosassa. Ashlee Yolanda Crawford, the driver, admitted to telling the child to jump from the car for unknown reasons.

Crawford was charged with child neglect and driving a vehicle with a suspended license. Child Protection Investigations Division investigators took custody of the child.
