Totally Tye Dyed

Soon after my sweet pea nephew was born, another baby was well on her way to meet the world.  My brother and his wife live in Portland where they are doing the urban farming thing with the help of their now almost four year old daughter, Basil.  They have more than a dozen free-range chickens and few ducks that roam their yard.  My sister in law built a chicken coop from the ground up using an old play house, they even had a roof raising party at it's completion. They are and always have been the "hippies" of our family, complete with matching dreadlocks and a home birth.

When I came across this tie dyed fabric, I knew it was perfect for them. And when my brother found out I had made it myself, he paid me the most wonderful of compliments, he had thought it was store bought.
Four years later, the blanket is still in amazing shape.
