Troopers Search For Driver Who Struck Pedestrian On US 92

DOVER, FL -- The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a 36-year-old woman on U.S. 92 near Pasadena Drive.

Amanda C. Bennett of Pembroke Pines was walking west on the south shoulder of U.S. 92 at 12:40 a.m. Sunday when a small silver or gray car struck her and then fled the scene.

She is being treated for serious injuries at Tampa General Hospital.

The car most likely has damage to the right front. Anyone with information is asking to contact the FHP at 813-558-1800.
