Valrico Man Shot in Tampa Robbery
He suffered serious injuries in the Monday morning incident.

Michael Howard was sitting inside his vehicle outside University Oakwood Apartments when a man with a gun approached his car just before 1 a.m. Monday.
Howard, 35, of Valrico later told police the man demanded cash. Hoping to get away, Howard attempted to drive away from the armed man, police wrote in an email to media. The gunman, however, didn’t make escape easy.
“The suspect fired several rounds, striking the victim and the vehicle,” an email from the Tampa Police Department stated.
