Missing Varico Teen Found
The Durant High School student hadn't been seen since Tuesday night.
Update March 23, 5:08 p.m.: The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports that Sharifa Hackett has been located and is safe.

VALRICO, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking Tampa Bay area residents to keep their eyes open for a missing 16-year-old girl.

According to the agency, Sharifa Hackett got into an argument with her parents Tuesday night. When her mother checked her room Wednesday morning, the Durant High School student wasn’t there. A note, however, was left behind that has deputies worried about the girl’s safety.
Hackett was last seen at her Piney Branch Circle home Tuesday. She is 5-foot-5, weighs an estimated 135 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone who knows of Hackett’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-8200.
