Shain Armijo, 23, was brought into custody Friday, charged with three counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition. Deputies say the incident involving the 12-year-old isn’t the only one they’ve traced Armijo to.

“It is believed that the same suspect is responsible for at least two other similar incidents,” an email from the agency to media stated. All of the victims so far have been between the age of 12 and 14.

“In each of the incidents the suspect would get the child’s attention by asking them some generic question, have them approach the vehicle where he would begin masturbating,” the email said. “Detectives believe that there may be other incidents or victims which have gone unreported.”

The April 21 incident unfolded as the girl was walking near the intersection of Terrace Drive and Cranberry Lane in Brandon around 4:30 p.m. She was approached by a man in a dark blue Ford Expedition.

The Ford’s driver asked the Mann Middle School student how old she was and told her she was cute, an email from the agency stated. The man then proceeded to pull out his genitalia, masturbate and ask the girl to comment on the organ’s size, the email said.

The girl took off for a nearby home while the man drove away, deputies said.

Anyone with information about additional incidents is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 813-247-0898.
