14-Year-Old Dies After Being Shot At Kingsway, Clay Intersection
The sheriff's office is investigating the shooting death of a teen at the intersection of Kingsway Road and East Clay Avenue.
BRANDON, FL -- The victim of a shooting Monday at the intersection of Kingsway Road and East Clay Avenue has died of her injuries.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the victim was a 14-year-old girl. Her name is not being released due to Marsy's Law, which protects the identities of crime victims.
At 1:40 a.m., June 17, deputies were called to the Walgreens parking lot at 128 E. Brandon Blvd. after someone had been shot inside a vehicle.

Deputies learned that the shooting occurred at Kingsway and Clay, a mile north of Walgreens. The victim was driven to Walgreens where she was transported to Brandon Hospital and then flown to Tampa General Hospital.
The sheriff's office believes the vehicle was targeted by the shooters. Four people were inside the vehicle at the time. No one else was injured.
