2 Bottle Clubs Raided, Multiple Arrests Made

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office conducted the crackdown early Saturday morning.

Eleven people face criminal charges after the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and two state agencies conducted an early Saturday morning raid on two Tampa bottle clubs.

The raids targeted the GLO Ultra Lounge, 8831 W. Hillsborough Ave., and ‘Til Dawn, 8205 N. Dale Mabry Highway. In addition to the sheriff’s office, the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and the Florida Probation and Parole division provided assistance.

“Sheriff David Gee organized this investigation due to the continued threat Glo Ultra Lounge and a similar club ‘Til Dawn pose to the safety and well-being of the surrounding residential and business community in the area,” the sheriff’s office stated in an email to media.

Bottle clubs are licensed to allow patrons to bring their own alcohol inside, but they are prohibited by law from selling alcoholic beverages.

During the raids, GLO Ultra owner and manager Carlos Guzman and ‘Til Dawn manager William Rich were both charged with selling alcohol without a license.
