2 Lutz Residents Killed In Crash At Van Dyke, Dale Mabry

CARROLLWOOD, FL — Two people have died following a crash early Sunday morning on Van Dyke Road and North Dale Mabry Highway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 1:22 a.m. a car driven by a 62-year-old Lutz man was heading east on Van Dyke Road approaching Dale Mabry.

At the same time, a 43-year-old Tampa woman was driving her SUV south on Dale Mabry approaching Van Dyke Road.

At the intersection, both drivers proceeded into the intersection where they collided. Troopers haven't determined which driver had a red light.

The Lutz man and his passenger, a 57-year-old Lutz woman, died at the scene.
