2nd Employee Arrested In WellCare Laptop Thefts
A second employee has been arrested in connection with the theft of laptop computers from WellCare.

TOWN N' COUNTRY, FL -- A second employee has been arrested in connection with the theft of laptop computers from WellCare at 8724 Henderson Road in Town n' Country.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested Phillip Jovan Hill, 30, after he was accused of taking part in the theft of computer equipment from the health insurance provider.
On Monday, June 17, detectives were made aware of an advertisement on the OfferUp buying/selling site in which an HP laptop stolen from WellCare was being sold.

Detectives discovered that the ad was posted by a pawn shop in Hillsborough County and that 15 Hewlitt Packard laptops, two HP monitors and one HP hard drive has been pawned at various shops in Hillsborough County.
The total amount of pawned property was $2,845.

Detectives and WellCare personnel confronted Hill about the stolen property at work and Hill admitted to taking the computer equipment. An additional three HP laptops and two hard drives, all stolen from WellCare, were located in his vehicle.
Hill was charged with grand theft, dealing in stolen property and false information to a pawn broker.
His coworker, John Marlin Burwell, was arrested on June 13, also for stealing laptops. A total of $70,000 worth of laptops were stolen from WellCare.
