300-Pound St. Francis Statue Stolen From Carrollwood Church

CARROLLWOOD, FL -- The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is trying to track down a 200- to 300-pound statue of St. Francis of Assisi stolen from the grounds of St. Paul Catholic Church,

The sheriff's office said the 5-foot-tall resin statue went missing April 12 around 4 p.m. at the church at 12708 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa. It is valued at $10,000.

The statue was last seen sitting on rocks on the right side of the church in the Santo Nino Shrine area. Anyone who locates the statue or anyone with information related to this theft is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS
