Dashboards Are A Girl's Best Friend!
Dashboards are a girls best friend and can help save time and create more effective campaigns when Social Media is concerned.
Well, and diamonds too BUT I digress...
One of the questions I get asked a lot is regarding social media and time management. I'm here to tell you that there's help for that.
This is where the dashboards come into play. What's a dashboard? In this context, it's a "dashboard" for your social media. Using a dashboard allows you to monitor/post/engage with all of your platforms from one place. Saves you time and allows you to schedule your posts ahead of time. Some popular dashboards are as follows.

1) Tweetdeck- This one is an app that gets downloaded to whatever device you'd like to use. It's very easy to use and fairly simple and allows for keyword searches as well as more robust Twitter related searches per account. AND it's free.
2) Hootsuite- Also a nice application for viewing all of your accounts and their various platforms. This one is internet based meaning you do not download the app to your computer (there are apps for your mobile and iPad, however). This is a little beefier than Tweetdeck and the paid version lets you do bulk messaging, which is nice. In my opinion, Hootsuite isn't the most visually intuitive BUT it does get the job done.

3) Sprout Social- This one is my current favorite. This does everything that the above do and more. It is also internet based and has apps for your mobile devices and tablets BUT they kick the apps of the others in a big way! Sprout Social allows you to do keyword searches across your platforms as well as the web. It also has an analyzer that will tell you the best time to send your posts. There is a Facebook audience tool to help you target your audience by the post. You can add team members, assign tasks, and so much more. You get excellent analytics across all platforms as well as feeds for each account. Did I say ALL completely customizable? Yep! There is a cost but if you're serious about your social media, it's totally worth it (and affordable too!). Trust me; this is one you want to check out for sure!
These and other similar tools will help you use your time efficiently and see what's happening with any given platform right away. I hate to use this phrase but it's true. You'll have time to work on your business instead of at your business.
