Into The Pink

Recently, Darren Pena Salon hosted a fabulous event called Fifty Shades of Pink, sponsored by Working Women of Tampa Bay, or as they are affectionately known, WWOTB.

In fact, WWOTB held a contest where the first five women who registered for the event were winners of free makeovers by our expert stylists. Each of the women came into the salon in the weeks prior to the event and we did a full cut, color, and style change for each.

Then, at the Fifty Shades of Pink event, each woman modeled their new looks for the crowd. We then took their day looks and transformed them into sophisticated and sexy evening looks in 10 minutes! (Yes, it's possible to go from daytime ready to nighttime sexy in 10 minutes and still keep your clothes on).

But that wasn’t the only fun to be had. Board Certified Sexologists and Relationship Counselors Jo-Ann and Chuck Bird shared 10 exciting tips aimed at empowering the women. They shared provocative ways of bringing the fantasy lovemaking elements of the best-selling series Fifty Shades of Grey from the pages of the book to the pillows of our listeners! They also raffled off some of their goodies which they review on their blog as Sexperts.

Dixon Smith of PRP International donated wine to our guests, while Sandy’s Cupcakes provided a lovely assortment of beautifully decorated pink cupcakes, which came in a variety of flavors. Among the prizes given away were a variety of adult toys, PRP wine goodies, a beautiful pair of earrings, and another makeover by Darren Pena Salon.

So why pink?? Every vixen and vamp knows that pink combines the passion and power of red softened with purity, openness and completeness of white. The deeper the pink, the more passion and energy it exhibits. And that made it the perfect color for this event.
