VIZCAYA RESTAURANT & TAPAS BAR HAS EXPANDED!

Carrollwood’s home to traditional Spanish cuisine and tapas, Vizcaya Restaurant & Tapas Bar, recently completed an expansion that doubled its size and created a new hot spot for locals to lounge!

Located at 10905 N. Dale Mabry Hwy in the Bent Tree Plaza, Vizcaya’s additions include a full-liquor bar & lounge where patrons can enjoy live entertainment over cocktails and tapas.  The delicious cuisine has always been inspired Chef Felix Peidra’s background and rooted in the methods of traditional Spanish cooking. 

The now 130-seat Carrollwood restaurant features a variety of seating options, including high-top tables, comfortable lounge and high-back chairs, as well as an outdoor patio.  The lounge includes a dance floor, beautiful white baby grand piano and entertainment area.  A few of the menu favorites include:

- Ceviche Mixto – Fresh oysters, scallops, shrimp and salmon marinated citrus tomatoes and aromatics

- Pulpo A La Gallega – Imported octopus baked on a wooden plate with Spanish smoked paprika and      olive oil

- Pimentos Del Piquillo Rellenos – Imported Piquillo peppers with ground veal and béchamel stuffing

- Cazuelita De Conejo – Wild Rabbit, fire roasted peppers and mushrooms in Rioja wine sauce.

- Seafood Paella- Jumbo prawns, scallops, grouper, calamari, mussels, and clams. Saffron stewed Spanish Bomba rice.

- Mollejas De Ternera – Veal sweetbreads with Serrano ham, wild mushrooms and Piquillo peppers

Vizcaya now offers a selection of classic and contemporary cocktails including several signature cocktails such as the Pisco Sour, Caipirinha and Moscow Mule.  Sophia Villarosa, the restaurant’s new bar manager, is a skilled bartender trained in making a proper cocktail.   Vizcaya’s wine menu contains an excellent selection of award-winning international wines and their house-made sangria is unlike any other in the Bay.  Happy Hour is every day between 5 and 7pm and offers $5 cocktails, glasses of wine and select tapas.  The new bar & lounge has a sophisticated yet swanky Spanish flair offering a fresh, new Carrollwood destination. 

Vizcaya serves lunch Monday to Friday & Sunday from 11:30 am to 2 pm and dinner seven nights a week from 5:30 pm to 10 pm.  Enjoy live entertainment on Thursday and Friday evenings and Happy Hour between 5 and 7pm every day!
