Carmel Café Hosting Champagne Tasting

The event will be held on Dec. 17

Sample dozens of rare to renowned sparkling wines from around the world during a Saturday afternoon champagne and sparkling wine tasting event from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Dec. 17 at both Tampa Bay area Carmel Café & Wine Bars. The Carrollwood restaurant is at 14306 N. Dale Mabry Highway.

Space is limited and reservations are requested for the Saturday afternoon Holiday Champagne Tasting.

The cost is $35 per person to sip some of the world’s finest bubbly and to enjoy a pairing menu featuring Mod Med cuisine, which represents a modern interpretation of foods and flavors traditionally associated with Mediterranean countries like Italy, Spain, France, Greece and Morocco.

Carmel Café & Wine Bar has partnered with Ed’s Fine Wine to feature the following champagnes:

  • Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut

  • Schramsberg Blanc De Blanc

  • Domaine Carneros by Taittinger
  • Grower’s Champagne

The tasting event features a selection of Mod Med cuisine that includes melon prosciutto, fried feta bites, champagne-infused goat cheese crostini with garlic chutney, cheese charcuterie, caprese salad, flatbreads topped with smoked bacon, spinach and artichokes and a cappuccino truffle for a sweet finish.

In addition to the tasting, guests will also be able to purchase select champagnes at special prices available exclusively at this holiday event.
