Couple Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Citrus Park

CITRUS PARK, FL — A motorcyclist and his passenger were found dead on the shoulder of Gunn Highway after a crash Sunday morning.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office received a call shortly after 6 a.m. from a motorist who saw the motorcycle on the side of the road and the bodies of a man and women next to it.

Sheriff's office investigators believe the couple were riding south on Gunn Highway when they lost control at a curve and hit a road sign. Both were thrown from the bike.

Investigators believe speed was a factor and say neither rider was wearing a helmet. Their identities have not been released.
