Busch, North Boulevards Open After Pedestrian Crash

The man struck in a Friday morning accident is reportedly in stable condition.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is investigating an early Friday morning crash involving a pedestrian on Busch Boulevard.

According to the agency, the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash and the driver did not see him. "He was crossing in the crosswalk, but he stepped in front of the driver who had the green light," the agency wrote in an email to media. "While it does not appear the driver was at fault at this time, the investigation is ongoing."

The pedestrian, police said, is in stable condition at a local hospital.
