The Tampa Police Department is investigating a crash that resulted in an 8-year-old being hospitalized with serious injuries.The incident took place in the area of Linebaugh and Taliaferro avenues Friday afternoon. Police say the boy was riding a bicycle north on Taliaferro as a car was heading west on Linebaugh."The child traveled in the vehicle's path when the driver hit him," an email to media from the police department stated. "The child was not wearing a helmet."Police have not yet identified those involved in the crash.
