Cultural Center Offering Many Holiday Events

With Thanksgiving later this week and Christmas around the corner, the Carrollwood Cultural Center has planned a plethora of holiday-themed events for the community to take advantage of.

The events include comedy, children's performances and a men's choir, according to Adrienne Hutelmyer, marketing and community relations director for the Center.

Hutelmyer said the diversity of the Center's programs helps lure in people from all over Tampa Bay to attend events there.

"We really do have something that reaches a wide variety of demographics, and the price points are accessible for people watching their money with gifts and parties (during the holiday season)," she said. "A lot of feedback that we get is that it's great to have something in this area. (But) there are people who travel from Orlando to see our shows."

Here's a listing of what the Center is offering during the holiday season:

• Christmas Cannoli at The Studio, 13345 Casey Road; $12 for members of the Center, $15 for non-members; Nov. 25 at 8 p.m., Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. and Dec. 3 at 8 p.m.
• Rick Gee's Jazz Jamm at the Center, 4537 Lowell Road; $12 for members and $17 for non-members; Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
• Heralds of Harmony at the Center; $20 for members and $23 for non-members; Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. and Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.
• The New Christy Ministrels at the Center; $21 for members and $23 for non-members; Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. and Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.
• Dex Imaging Golf Tournament Fore the Arts at Emerald Greens Golf Resort & Country Club, 13903 Clubhouse Drive; $100 for individual golfers and $360 for a foursome; Dec. 5
• It's Freezing in Here at the Center; $11 for members and $13 for non-members; Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
• Jazz with Jim at the Center; $8 for members and $12 for non-members; Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
• Winter Concert at the Center; $10 for members and $12 for non-members; Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.
• Suite Caroline's Holiday Homecoming at the Center; $11 for members and $13 for non-members; Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
• Shana Banana: Merry Chriskwanzanukah at the Center; $6 for members and $7 for non-members; Dec. 23 at 7 p.m.
