Daughter Charged in Carrollwood Double Homicide

Deputies say the woman shot and killed her mother and stepfather.

A 21-year-old woman faces two counts of first-degree murder after Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies say she gunned down her mother and stepfather outside their Carrollwood home Thursday night.

Deputies responded to 14108 Fennsbury Drive around 9:26 p.m. after receiving several reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Myriam Carey Dienes, 56, shot to death in the driveway. Robert Dienes, 67, was found dead inside the home, an email from the sheriff’s office stated.

Through the course of the investigation, Myriam Carey Dienes’ daughter, Nicole Nachtman, was identified as a possible suspect. Deputies located her in Tallahassee on Friday and interviewed her there.
