
Hillsborough County deputies arrested a 32-year-old man today in connection with an attempted murder that occurred in 2009.
Juan Turner, 32, was charged with attempted murder and three counts of driving while license suspended, according to the sheriff's office. The attempted murder charge is in connection with an incident that occurred on Aug. 12, 2009 at 5 a.m. at 8539 Channel View Circle, just north of Waters Avenue and west of North Dale Mabry.
On that day, Turner and Sherree Bodden were involved in a fight outside of their home on Channel View Circle, according to the sheriff's office.

During the fight, Turner picked Bodden up and slammed her twice onto the sidewalk, according to the sheriff's office.
Then, he strangled her and caused her to become unconscious, the sheriff's office said.

Bodden was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.
Meanwhile, Turner fled the state, but was located in Newark, New Jersey. He was taken into custody last month, and booked into the Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County today.
