Carmel Café & Wine Bar Monthly Wine Dinner

 As part of Carmel Café & Wine Bar’s monthly wine dinner series, Napa Valley’s Amizetta Vineyard founder Spencer Clark will return for two evenings of wine, modern Mediterranean (Mod Med) cuisine and live music.

Space is limited and reservations are required.

Carmel Café Executive Chef Steve Cook will complement the featured wines with a four-course pairing menu of Mod Med cuisine selections:

    •    First Course Wine:  Amizetta 2011 Sauvignon Blanc

First Course Carmel Café Pairing:  Scallop Ceviche on Endive

    •    Second Course Wine:  Amizetta 2008 Estate Merlot
 
Second Course Carmel Café Pairing:  Sopressata Cornucopia with Fig Mascarpone

    •    Third Course Wine:  Amizetta 2005 Rock ‘n’ Red Blend


Third Course Carmel Café Pairing:  Pomodorone Pasta, Chiffondade of Basil, Smoked Sea Salt, La Rambla Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Shaved Parmigiano Regiano

    •    Fourth Course Wine:  Amizetta 2007 ‘Vigneto del TAcchino Selvatico’ Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvigno
Fourth Course Carmel Café Pairing:  Open-Faced Shaved Steak Bruscetta

    •    Dolce (Dessert):  Amarena Amaretti Chocolate Truffle

Founded in 1979, Amizetta Vineyard is one of the few terraced hillside vineyards in the Napa Valley.   In addition to being a vintner, Clark is also a singer/songwriter.  His passion for music and wine will be in full display as he performs and guides Carmel Café guests through the wine making experience.
