The Carrollwood Cultural Center will hold open auditions for Broadway Bound, the Center’s youth musical theatre program. Children ages 7 - 16 are encouraged to audition.
Broadway Bound is a comprehensive program that teaches acting, costume and set design, dancing, singing and stage management. The program meets Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Center, and tuition is $60 per month. In addition to performing at upcoming community events like Arts In The Park in March, Broadway Bound students will produce Once Upon a Mattress in July.

Broadway Bound students have starred in several musicals at the Center, including Lionel Bart's Oliver!, Meredith Willson's The Music Man, and Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I. Several students have gone on to participate in local productions, traveling musicals and more. The group's leaders include music director Mary Jo Hahn, choreographer Teil Rey, and acting coach Craig Hartfield.
