From 10:30 a.m. to noon: Claywell fifth graders were “hired” by a local egg company to provide a way to transport eggs safely from an airplane to remote villages in Africa where drought has caused famine. This problem solving project uses student-created egg drop devices to see which can absorb the impact of a 12-foot drop.
1:30 p.m. – Claywell fifth graders will soar into their third annual ‘Go Fly a Kite’ day. The sky above Claywell will be filled with kites of various shapes, sizes, and colors.
