JAZZ WITH JIM with special guest Bonnie Quintana

Jazz with Jim is a monthly concert hosted by local musician and former Hillsborough Community College instructor and Director of Music, Jim Burge and The Jazz Directions. The concert is best known for fusing personal stories by the musicians with popular jazz tunes suited for that month’s theme. Patrons can purchase home baked goods donated by the Center’s volunteers, which help complete the intimate ambience.

Special Guest: Bonnie Quintana

Bonnie Quintana has been singing professionally in the greater Tampa Bay area since 1977. Getting her start as a young girl in church choirs and ensembles; she quickly evolved into a solo artist, winning several awards and scholarships for her many performances in plays, concerts and glee club programs. As an adult, Bonnie has performed and toured as the lead vocalist with dozens of bands. Her dynamic voice and 3 ½ octave range has allowed her to excel in diverse styles of music, with a strong propensity for blues and jazz. She is currently the lead vocalist for Tampa Bay’s premier horn band, Late Night Brass as well as Hernando County’s own Frankie Dee’s New York Orchestra.
