Expert Barber Makes the Cut in Carrollwood
Cianfrocca's, just 5 weeks old, brings friendly classic barber shop services to community
An antique 1898 Belmont horse barber chair greets customers when they enter Cianfrocca’s Master Barbering and Shaving, a classic and purposely understated barber shop in North Point Plaza, 15229 N. Dale Mabry.
The child’s horse chair matched the interior so perfectly, manager and barber John Najarian joked that it looked like it grew up out of the floor. Little ones have this special place for their first and repeat haircuts.
Recently opened in April, Najarian hopes to provide his customers much more than a shave and a haircut. He envisions Cianfrocca’s being a place where his modern-day clients can feel transported back to the old-days where customers can share great conversation, as well as receive expert barber services.
A customer can come in a stranger, but leave a friend.
Najarian is an expert at every kind of man’s haircut – from contemporary to conservative business styles, military and municipal regulation cuts (including Flattops and "high regs") and even slick Pompadours, Cadillacs and other retro styles.

Patch: What types of services do you offer?
Najarian: It’s pretty standard barber shop faire. We do all types of haircuts and straight razor shaves.
Patch: What are your prices?
Najarian: A haircut is $15, a shave $25, or we have a special for both for $35.
Patch: What makes Cianfrocca’s different than the competition?
Najarian: Providing outstanding customer satisfaction is, and will always be our first priority. We achieve this through professionalism, expert workmanship and personal attention, in a friendly and fun atmosphere.
Anyone who comes to work here will be an expert. We won’t take anyone but masters in this place.
Patch: What is your overall goal with Cianfrocca’s?
Najarian: We wanted to create an environment here that is still very much a “man’s” barber shop, where guys come for great conversations- politics, sports, world events – you name or just to vent and do their thing. But we want all of that to occur in an environment of consideration and respect. Kids are more than welcome in here. There’s no foul language. It’s very much a family-oriented place.
We are going to consistently do quality work in a pleasant environment. It’s a great shop.
