Know Your Watering Days Carrollwood

The rules of the lawn watering game have changed again in Hillsborough County.

Carrollwood area residents fed up with once-a-week lawn watering restrictions can breathe a sigh of relief.

The Southwest Florida Water Management District and Hillsborough County have loosened the rules – a bit.

Rather than have to follow a once-a-week schedule, customers of the county’s water department can now give their yards a twice weekly drink. The rules changed Aug. 1.

Happen to get your water from the City of Tampa?

Just follow the same schedule.

Keep in mind restrictions don’t apply to locations that use reclaimed water or micro-irrigation. Hand water of plants is also OK. The rules, however, do apply to people with their own wells.
