Leto High Teacher Accused Of Having Sex With 17-Year-Old Student

A Leto High School teacher has been arrested after a former student accused him of having sexual contact with her when she was 17.

CARROLLWOOD, FL -- A Leto High School teacher has been arrested after a former student accused him of having sexual contact with her when she was a 17-year-old junior.

Eric P. Milis, 30, of Gainsville Drive, Temple Terrace, has been charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

He was arrested on Tuesday night following an investigation.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Special Victims Section detectives responded to Leto High School to investigate the sexual offense after a former student, now 19 years old, disclosed to school officials and a school resource deputy that she and Milis had a sexual relationship when she was a 17-year-old junior. Milis was 28 years old at the time of the incident.

During a conversation overheard by detectives, Milis made statements admitting to the victim that he had a sexual relationship with her when she was a minor.Detectives responded to Milis' residence and he was placed in custody. He was booked into Falkenburg Road Jail. There are no other victims believed to be involved in this incident. The Hillsborough County School District is aware of the charges.
