When a 29-year-old Immokalee man was pulled over for running a stop sign Monday, he probably didn’t figure the exchange would wind up with a trip to jail.
But, that’s exactly what happened, according to NBC-2.
It seems Judes Exantus argued with a Collier County deputy about the stop sign allegation and then sat in his car waiting for his ticket. That wait was just too long for Exantus, according to the news station. Instead of being patient, Exantus called 911 to complain about the deputy’s slow ticket-writing skills.

For his trouble, Exantus was arrested and charged with misuse of the 911 system, Collier County Jail records indicate. Exantus bonded out of jail for $2,000 on Tuesday, but faces an Aug. 27 court date.
While Exantus call to 911 landed him in hot water, he’s not in nearly as much trouble as a Hillsborough County man who called cops more than 3,000 times. Keith Lukas of Tampa was arrested June 26 and charged with contempt of court for his excessive use of the phone system. He was released from the Hillsborough County Jail July 20, jail records indicate.
