Man Demands Sex In Exchange For Returning Woman's Dog: Sheriff

NORTHDALE, FL — A 36-year-old man has been arrested after being accused of demanding sexual favors from a woman in exchange for returning her dog.

Kevin Austin Skaggs of Ballica Drive in the Lake Magdalene area was arrested Friday after a woman told the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office that he wouldn't return her dog until she provided sexual favors. Skaggs, who is known to the victim, had been calling her and sending her unwanted text messages for months, said deputies.

Deputies located Skaggs driving in his vehicle with the dog. The dog was returned to the victim in good health.

Skaggs was charged with extortion and driving with a suspended license.

His bond is set at $7,500.
