UPDATE: Missing Child Alert Issued for Northdale Girl

A Florida Missing Child Alert has been triggered for a 12-year-old Northdale girl.

Jhonea Mercedes Lyle was last seen in the area of the 16000 block of Bonneville Drive wearing white basketball shorts, a black basketball t-shirt with a picture of a basketball and the words "I-hoop" and pink slides, according to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement news release.

Jhonea is described as black, 5-feet, 6-inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds. She has brown hair and eyes. Jhonea may have a purple and black gym bag, according to authorities.
