Moped Operator Killed In Waters Avenue Crash
A person riding a moped has died after being struck by a truck on West Waters Avenue.

CARROLLWOOD, FL — A person riding a moped has died after being struck by a truck on West Waters Avenue.
On Wednesday at 9:22 p.m., the moped operator was heading west in the bike lane on Waters Avenue approaching Camden Street when a Dodge Ram flatbed truck traveling east on Waters made a left turn onto Camden Street. The front passenger side of the truck struck the moped driver who was wearing a helmet.
The moped driver was thrown onto the road and pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies. No charged have been filed.
The name of the moped operator is being withheld in accordance with Marsy's Law, which protects the identities of crime and crash victims.
