A 21-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Nixon Road Oct. 28. Reece Yamil Alvarez of 4902 Forest Brook Place was riding his 2003 Suzuki GXR 600 on Nixon, north of Lynn Road, about 6:18 p.m. when the crash took place, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said. Alvarez lost control of his bike for unknown reasons and left the road. He was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital where he later died, the sheriff's office said. The accident remains under investigation.
