Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Bearss Avenue
A 54-year-old Tampa motorcyclist is dead following a crash on Bearss Avenue Sunday, July 15, just before 9 p.m.

CARROLLWOOD, FL – A 54-year-old Tampa motorcyclist is dead following a crash on Bearss Avenue Sunday, July 15, just before 9 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ruth E. Sanchez-Arias, 35, of Tampa was driving her 2005 Jeep Liberty east on Bearss Avenue approaching Interstate 275.
At the same time, a Tampa man was traveling west on Bearss Avenue at I-275 on a motorcycle.

Following a green traffic signal, the motorcyclist turned left to travel south on I-275. Sanchez-Arias reportedly failed to stop at the red light and struck the right side of the motorcycle. Sanchez-Arias then struck the overpass support.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Sanchez-Arias was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license.
