No Injuries Reported in Tampa Flea Market Fire

A small blaze broke out in the building early Wednesday morning.

The Tampa Flea Market’s interior might smell a little smoky, but the Nebraska Avenue destination escaped major damage when a blaze broke out early Wednesday morning.

According to Tampa Fire Rescue, an automatic fire alarm call came in just before 7 a.m. from the 11612 N. Nebraska Ave. business. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the structure, but discovered the automatic sprinkler system was doing its job, an email to media from the agency stated.

Once inside, a small fire was found in the southwest corner of the building. Crews put it out and began ventilating the building, the department wrote.
