Petition Against Walmart Sparks Upcoming Town Hall

Last week, Local Voices blogger Leah Wooten about a in Carrollwood.

Now, a town hall meeting will be held on the issue, which has sparked an online petition circulating through www.change.org.

Rep. James Grant, R-Tampa, will attend a public meeting at the Carrollwood Recreation Center, 3515 McFarland Road, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2.

During the meeting, Grant will hear what residents have to say about the developer's rezoning proposal to build a Wal-Mart neighborhood market and Wawa convenience store at the site.
