Suspect Uses Fake ID To Score Laptops From FedEx: Deputies; Does He Look Familiar?

TAMPA, FL – A white man, wearing a T-shirt, jeans and sneakers, allegedly flashed fraudulent photo identification and made off with roughly $5,472 worth of laptops from a FedEx facility on West Waters Avenue in Tampa earlier this month, according to law enforcement.

"The suspect had knowledge of tracking numbers assigned to four Dell laptop computers and presented the clerk with a fraudulent picture ID," the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said today. "The clerk released the property to the suspect ... and the suspect then exited the store."

The incident occurred June 5 at 3:51 p.m. at a facility at 5101 W. Waters Ave., the agency said.

The suspect was described as white, between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, about 180 pounds and was wearing a green T-shirt, skinny jeans and sneakers, deputies said. He possibly was driving a black Hyundai Veloster.
