The Gaither Cowboys At The 2011 George Steinbrenner Invitational
The Cowboys had a few hopefuls going into the invitational. Here's a look at how they did.
The George Steinbrenner Invitational is the brainchild of Steinbrenner High School track coach Ladd Baldwin, University of South Florida track coach Warren Bye, and FHSAA coordinator of officials Nate Johnson. In its first year in 2010, the invitational drew 40 schools to the USF campus. Thanks to the hard work of the three aforementioned individuals and many others, it has become the largest meet in the state. This year, the invitational hosted 35 certified officials, with more than 2,000 student-athletes from 79 different schools.
